If you define a rigid body using MATRIG, the Youngs modulus option is not used. The mass is calculated from geometry and density provided.. Its a dummy field..
I was wondering the same... this is another answer that I found: "the modulus input in MATRIG is only used for time size estimation for contact with the MATRIG body. So its not really meaningful in a physical sense"
Thanks Anil and Ron. Yes you are both right. I have been told by tech support that the Young's modulus is used only for the computation of the contact rigidity between your MATRIG body and another.
