Friction welding

Dear friends

I am working on friction welding using dissimilar material stainless steel or copper rod having diameter 20 mm.I want to examination the transient temperature, strain or stress during operation.I do not know how to model the couple thermal-structure analysis in MARC software. If you have any idea or having any tutorial related to my problem please send me. I am stuck in this problem please help me.

Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you - hopefully someone else does.

I have a question for you, though, please:

when you posted this question did you select the topic "PCL & Customization", or did that topic appear automatically when you typed up your question? We are wondering why your post was tagged with "PCL & Customization" (which we have since removed from the tag Topics) and the only conclusion is that perhaps you have added this topic yourself?

@Gurdeep Singh Have you looked at the examples documented in the User's Guide in Mentat?

Go to Help -> User Guides

Click on Multiphysics

Scroll down to Coupled Transient Cooling Fin

That should give you an overview of the process.
