pre state error

I met this error when trying to using "pre state" option. I can't find down what is its reason. Pls help

in the output file:

process pre-state initial condition...

error -- filename not defined for unit: 10

Dear Tuan Nguyen,

While launching the pre state run, Did you specify the t16 file name to read pre state data ?

The command will be like below,

run_marc -j run2.dat -pid run1

Where, run1 was the jobname for first run, and run2 job will use run1.t16 results as pre state condition.

Dear @kiranraj shetty

My pre state command file is as: "c:\MSC.Software\Marc\2018.1.0\marc2018.1\tools\run_marc.bat -j model2_job1 -pid model1_job1 -b yes -v no"

The first job is : "c:\MSC.Software\Marc\2018.1.0\marc2018.1\tools\run_marc.bat -j model1_job1 -nps 4 -nts 8 -prog sub"

Then export stress and strain :

post

     2    16    17     0     0    19    20     0     1     0    12     0     0     0     0     0

    311     0

    301     0

Is there something wrong ?

Dear Tuan Nguyen,

Command looks good. I noticed you are using DDM for the first run with -nps 4. Have you used multiple post files ( default option), or single post file for this run ?

Please use single post file option as shown in the attached image, to use the t16 in next pre state run.

even if I don't use ddm and sub, still the error. I could attach here a simple model, pls check it.

Dear Tuan Nguyen,

I believe the issue is related to post file version. Have you used Patran to create the deck ? I see post file version set to 12.

I have attached the modified deck with modified post & pre state cards, in the prestate file the previous t16 file is considered now.
