I was wondering if there was a creative way to add damping to a progressive failure simulation such as a composite material with Hashin criterion and gradual selective stiffness degradation. This sometimes results in snap-back which is very difficult to obtain convergence for.
If you are doing a static analysis, you may add numerical damping in load case properties to make model more stable. If you are doing a dynamic analysis, you can add physical damping to composite material. Please see the attached screenshots.
