State variables are some element quantities Marc uses and stores. They are different for different types of simulations. For example, in structural simulations, the first one will be temperature, while in bearing analysis, the first one is the lubricant pressure. I had never used them in PLOTV function. Can you describe what you want to achieve with PLOTV so that we can see if you need to worry about state variables or not?
