I am modelling a tensile specimen from a solid part imported as STEP file format, i want to generate fine meshing at the high strain regions however i could not do it with automesh generation. Is there any other way that i can create mesh in 3D solids in marc?
If you don't have access to MSC Apex, ignore this please.
It is possible to use MSC Apex to create a fine mesh then export it in .bdf format (Nastran Bulk Data) and then import it in Marc and then conduct your simulation as usual. Use of MSC Apex makes the overall process shorter and quicker. Also 2.5D (Quad Elements) meshing is possible with complex geometries in MSC Apex (with some work of coruse).
