In Mentat versions up to 2016, you can set output file version to 2006 ( Job > Results > ). Then in loadacses > loadcase results > Advanced settings > Application region > Custom and select the elements for which output has to be written in post file.
This feature is discontinued in later versons, And manual editing of .dat file would be necessary. The post file version should be set to 13 in the POST card, and select elements and element IDs must be entered as shown in the attached image.
