The figure above is a picture that I found in internet and it shows a nano-composite with matrix and reinforcing phases. As you can see, the mesh of reinforcing phase matches with the mesh of the matrix. How can I perform this meshing in Marc-Mentat?
I am creating 3D solids and first mesh their surface and then the volume from the surface mesh. The mesh of the reinforcing phase do not match with matrix phase. How can I coincide the nodes?
You can use the Geomtry&Mesh>Operations>Sweep tool to merge the duplicate nodes. If the nodes are still attached to the solid bodies I think Mentat will prevent you from merging the nodes. To detach the nodes from the solids you can use the Geometry&Mesh>Operations>Attach>Detach Mesh From Solids tool. Then you can proceed with the sweep operation.
