Help Needed: Stress/Strain Values at Element Centroid in Marc Mentat

Hi Community,

I hope you're doing well!

I'm working on a project in Marc Mentat and need a little help. I'm trying to figure out how to extract stress or strain values at the centroid of an element. I do have the element ID and the stress/strain data from a contour plot and report, but I’m stuck on how to get those specific values at the centroid in Mentat post-processing.

If you have any tips, know the process, or can point me to some resources, that would be amazing. I'd appreciate your guidance on this—it’d make a huge difference!

    Hello, 

             To extract stress or strain values at the centroid of an element in Marc Mentat, you can configure the post file to output results at the element centroid as shown in image below in Job Results form: 

    Once the analysis is complete, the stress or strain data at the element centroid will be available in the post file. You can then use this data for contour plots or reports as needed. Hope this helps.
