Kazi, Are you looking to model with 1D elements or Solid elements?
If you are using 1D element then, in Apex, you can use pin flags for rotational degrees of freedom(Rx,RY,RZ), acting like a ball joint. If the stiffness is soft then large rotations will occur. Currently, Apex does not have capability to handle large rotations though.
