I'm new to Apex. I'm making a sketch on the surface of a part and I can't get the sketch to be finalized/saved. As soon as I close the geometry tools the sketch disappears.

I finally found the sketch surfaces that I made, but they were located associated with a different part than the part on which I made the sketches.

Apex has the concept of a "current part", which is the part that newly-created stuff gets placed in. The current part has its name underlined in the model tree. You can make a part current by right-clicking on it and selecting "Set Current":

Thank you, that worked. I've encountered "current part" in the tutorials, but I though it referred to the version of a particular part.
