  • Hmm, good question. I may have more to add in the future but my first thought is maybe a 1 hr-ish overview demonstrating basics with examples. Staying close to the Apex hooks and not straying into general Python coding (I may need that too but I can get that from lots of sources). I have been using some script examples from others (yourself included) and have been deciphering how to grab collections of objects and act on them. But, I'm not yet able to do real interactive scripts (selecting parts/elements/nodes and then acting on them). Even if it's just a lot more examples demonstrating how to do small things, with user interaction, then I think I'd be able to extend them into my own ideas.

More specifically, I'm trying to add post-processing functionality kind of similar to that provided by Nastran Explore and more recent Patran post-processing improvements. I have had projects lately that result in 5-10 Apex scenarios, each with 5-10 events (load cases). I'm hoping to expedite the max/min results exploration generally, across scenarios and across events.

Would love for others to chime in here with their thoughts on how to jump start scripting and customization, whether it be a workshop, webinar or tutorial docs.
