When I make a copy of a meshed surface and it has sections assigned to it, the copied mesh/surface doesn't carry the section assignment. Is there a way to have the sections copied with the mesh/surfaces?
You have to set pick filter to "Parts" when assigning the section. Section will then copy with the entity. it will not work when user apply sections to surfaces or mesh directly.
My parts have more than one section (and spans), so I need to apply the sections to surface regions in the part. So does that method work in IL FP2 or do I have to do assign the section at the part level there to get it to stick to the copies?
Currently Apex not copying attributes when copying entities. When Sections assigned to surface regions or mesh, then it's not copying along with entities. Those needs to be reassign.
This enhancement is in place with PD, hopeful to get implemented in future release.
