How to do stress plot probes and cross-section views?

Question

I'm trying to view how the stresses flow throughout the cross-section of a component, so I'm looking for a way to activate a temporary "cutting plane" that I can move through the part and see these results.

Additionally, I need to check the stresses in certain spots to compare with a previous analysis. I see there's a "hot-spot" tool that automatically marks the highest ones, but I need to be able to check other areas as well.

We can't yet create cutting planes like that in Apex.

For spot checks on results you can use the Probe tool. First plot your result, then use Probe to query the model. You can also write the probed results to a csv file using the "Show Probe Data Grid" option.
