There isn`t any direct way to add the cross section for bar using *.igs or step as of now. User has to crate it by span tool.

Hi rohit.belsare,

Thanks for your answer. I have explored the beam span tool. These below are my understanding.

1. Standard - standard cross sections available, we can change the size.

2.Numeric - I can give the geometric properties as a input.

3.1D Profile - I can able to create a thin walled cross section.

I want to create the arbitrary shape (not a thin walled geometry) for 1d element cross section with in apex itself, is that possible!
