Is there a way to resize a mesh?

I have a bdf without geometry that I imported into apex. I want to resize a hole. The mesh is 3D. Is there a way to do this?

I tried creating geometry from mesh, but it creates a faceted geometry that can't be edited. I did it again with the Facet to NURBS checkbox enabled, but when I tried pushing/pulling the hole in the new Solid geometry the mesh didn't move with it because it is associated with the faceted geometry.

  • Apex don't offer much options for Orphan mesh (only mesh no geometry) modifications. The method you followed is almost the way to do it.
Only modification you need to do is cut out the modified geometry, mesh it>> export it.
Import original bdf to new session, Delete the same mesh section from mesh, import the new mesh and merge the nodes.
Its little tedious for non Apex files. If model is built in Apex, it offers regenerative behaviour for geometry modifications.
