High lift configuration analysis using Adams-scFLOW

The most common high-lift device is a flap. Extended flap increases lift & drag of the wing.

Extension and Retraction of the flap is carried out by link mechanism which is modeled as enforced motion in Adams. Flow around the wing is modeled & simulated in scFLOW, and the effect of flap motion in Adams is taken into account in scFLOW, and also the fluid force in scFLOW is applied to the flap in Adams. These interaction of the position and fluid force is automatically carried out by MSC CoSim.
