Hello, I would like to write only translations of displacement in SOL 103 not rotations to reduce op2 size and writing time of it. is there any standart solution in DISP card or do we have to look for any special dmap alter ? regards mustafa

HI Mustafa,

The displacement vectors both translation and rotations are calculated simultenously as part of the solution process and become part of the UG (or variaous other names). One is not able to only put translation displacement in the op2 file. MSC Nastran now has the HDF5 output format, which may help you more flexibility in manipulating the outputs produced by NASTRAN,

thanks for your answer. later i try to this card DISP (T1=1.e-3 T2=1e-2) = ALL as a filter to reduce size and time but it doesn't effect the size.

I 'll investigate HDF5 format.
