Could you tell me the ratio of Kinematic Hardening and Isotropic Hardening if I select Combined Hardening in Materials Properties? And if it is possible to set the ratio of Kinematic Hardening, how can I do it?

  • I assume this question is for MSC Nastran solution 106.   I have dug around a bit, and so far the only place I find some details are in the old Nonlinear Handbook.  I will attach a screen shot of the pertinent page.  It implies Combined is an average of Isotropic and Kinematic.  I will try to find a developer to confirm and will update you once I hear back.

But, there is definitely no way to define the ratio used in Nastran (this can be done in Marc).
