Is it possible to create 2 static steps inside subcase in SOL 400?

Yes. You can do something like below.

SOL 400

CEND

SUBCASE 1

STEP 1

ANALYSIS=NLSTAT

SPC=XX

LOAD=XX

STEP 2

ANLAYSIS=NLSTAT

SPC=XX

LOAD=XX

In above case the results at the end of Step 1 will be carried to beginning of Step 2.

I tried with the following but not getting required result

SUBCASE 1

STEP 1

  SUBTITLE=step_1

  DISPLACEMENT(SORT1,REAL)=ALL

Can you please clarify what is the required result? Also if you can attach the files, it will help to debug further....

Just some information in case you might have missed it...

LOAD=4..

Make sure this is the additional Load + Load from Step 1..

If you do not add the load from Step 1 in Step 2, it starts unloading the Step 1 load.

Can you explain in more detail regarding "additional Load + Load from Step 1." I have created 2 load collectors first one I called in step1 and the second load in step2.

Lets say in Step 1 you are applying Load 1 unit in X-direction and in Step 2 you want to apply Load 1 unit in Y-direction.

In Step 1 LOAD=3 will call the Load 1 unit in X-direction.

In Step 2 you are applying Load 1 unit in Y-direction.

i.e LOAD=4.

So LOAD=4 is Load 1 unit in X-direction + Load 1 unit in Y-direction
