How to view nastran plot (plt) files?

in the rcf file which is available in the installation folder:

E:\MSC.Software\MSC_Nastran\20182\conf

write:

ASSIGN PLOT=*,FORM=FORMATTED

With this plt file will get converted to ps file. Now install the ghosviewer available as free on internet . In ghostviewer you can view the ps file

the statement : ASSIGN PLOT=*,FORM=FORMATTED

can be added at the top of nastran input file as well
