Is there a way to have a single MAT card for both structural and thermal properties? I currently use two different include files of MAT1 lines and MAT4 lines for if I'm doing a structural or a thermal run, but I'd love to not bother switching.

You should be able to have both MAT1 & MAT4 with the same MID in the model, no need to remove one or the other...
