I have made an Nastran input File and run this on Nastran on my PC and on an High Performace Computer. It was an modal analysis (SOL103). The first six Eigenvalues are different. What could be the reason for different Outputs while using the same Input?
Thank you for your answer. Yes they are rigid body modes.
I agree that they are almost zero. But I solved this model a few times. The result from the PC ist always the same just like the result from the High performance Computer stays the same. Why does the results depend on the used computer?
Because they are all Zero values and zero can be any really small number. Different machines have different math processors, that small enough change could be enough to have a different set of roots. They are a set of repeated roots and as long as they are orthogonal, any 6 roots would be correct.
