I am running SOL 111 and requesting element forces (nice to have that ability). I load the results into Patran to run RMS Analysis with the Patran Random Toolbox. The force results are in local element coordinates. Since adjacent elements often have different coordinate systems, this causes fringe plots to look strange since one element's FX is another's FY or something off at an angle. Is there a way to force the results to a common coordinate system? I am using Nastran 2021.4.
Modifying the CID is not available for RMS results for the Random Toolbox as they are scalar. The change must occur upstream, either in the Sol 111 or the Random Toolbox. The nodes in the model have the global coordinate system as the their analysis system.
