I am running SOL 111 and requesting element forces (nice to have that ability). I load the results into Patran to run RMS Analysis with the Patran Random Toolbox. The force results are in local element coordinates. Since adjacent elements often have different coordinate systems, this causes fringe plots to look strange since one element's FX is another's FY or something off at an angle. Is there a way to force the results to a common coordinate system? I am using Nastran 2021.4.
if you are using the fringe option in the Results menu, you can select a CID via the plot options to display result entities in a specified coordinate system. For Details see the Picture attached.
