FYI I just found a bug in the Groups to Session File code: if the group definition fits on a single line in the session file, then an incorrect string is written out and the session file is not runnable.
Workaround: remove the redundant " at the start of the ga_group_entity_add line in the session file.
The bug is fixed in the attached file. This is a straight swap for the file of the same name in the current custom tools in your MSC_Apex Workspace.
