I have to perform a thermoelastic analysis of a optic, where I have the start temperature of the optic and the time history of the temperature on one face.
In the past, I have run static thermal analysis using discrete temperatures to generate temperatures at all structural nodes for further stress analysis.
I am looking for examples I can study in the setup of a run to compute nodal temperatures from a known boundary condition in order to get started.
The time varying temperatures would be generated and used in the same model for calculating stresses, so there is no separate mapping step. Also, I will use FEMAP as the pre/post processor for this analysis.
