I am running a large random analysis model for calculating accelerations, displacements and stresses and I encountered a message in the f06 that I cant attribute to any problems in the results. I was looking for some clarification on the meaning.

I am running random analysis (SEMFREQ) under 2013.1 NASTRAN, and I encountered this message in the f06 file:

*** SYSTEM WARNING MESSAGE 3002 (RANDOM)

EOF ENCOUNTERED WHILE READING DATA BLOCK OES2 (FILE 107) IN SUBROUTINE RAND2B

Can you give a run by commenting out the STRESS output request?

Does the model involve composites?

Taking a looking at the f06,f04 and log file would give more clarity. Please attach the files.

The model consists of solid and plate elements with linear isotropic properties, no composites. The prior run for calculating my force limited base drive did not generate this message.

I will check and see if I am allowed to upload my files though I will need a secure upload link for them.

Run without STRESS to see if it completes. If it does then we need to add more Harddrive space/RAM to finish the data recovery of stress.

The run does complete with and without the STRESS request, The op2 and pch files appear to be populated.

You can attach the files here. This is a one drive link. I do not have any other options at my end for file sharing. But from what I understand is that your run has successfully completed, and there is just this warning message in the f06 file. For now you can ignore these messages as they seem related to some data recovery which has been added to the run..

OK. Log and F04 show clean exit. So there are no issues. The warning can be ignored for now.

You could check if they are removed in the latest version of nastran i.e. 2022.4.
