Force outputs (plotting)

Hello,

Is it possible to plot the grid point forces for a model in SOL101? So far I 've only managed to print them. Changing the option from GPFORCE(PRINT) to GPFORCE(PLOT) does nothing.

Also, is it possible to prin thet contact forces acting on one of two contacting bodes in particular?

yes, sure, check the f06 for the output "NAME OF DATA BLOCK WRITTEN ON FORTRAN UNIT IS OGPFB1" or a hdf for the datagroup GRID_FORCE

Thank you! However, I am more interested in beeing able to see them in countour through a post-processor. The (PLOT) option should allow me to do that but for some reason it doesn't seem to work.

P.S. I'm currently trying to output the results in an .op2 file (hence the need to plot the results)

You can plot the gpforces in Patran using free body tool, which is available in results menu.

To print the contact outputs use: BOUTPUT(PRINT)=ALL
