With the software Hypermesh it is possible to make T-junction or T-connections from multiple surfaces, see the attached picture. With Solidworks which I have availbale this function seems also not possible, my question now is, if this is possible to do with Patran?
Using "hard" geometry is one way to approach this type of meshing constraint.
Under the geometry you use the "Associate" action and define a mesh constraint between a point or curve(includes surface edge) and a curve or surface. the resulting "hard" geometry is marked with triangles which are cyan, yellow, green in color.
When you mesh you use the "paver" if you have any hard geometry internal to a surface as the iso mesher can't handle that particular combination.
These pictures will hopefully give you the idea but the help pages will also give more details.
