Fatal on element check after adding a pointmass.

Dear all,

How come when I have a model with only a gravity load, I get no fatal on element check but after I have created a point mass the model crashes on element check? This is just a general question, when I look at the elements they should indeed be improved, I just wonder why without a pointmass added this fatal does not occur?

Hello Ron, The elements most likely are bad in the first run as well and somehow passed the GEOMCHECK. I doubt that point mass has anything to do with element quality in any way. You can send us the two bdf files to look into if you like.
