I just started using Patran 2017. I make extensive use of pcl scripts for post processing. I use png format for superior quality. I just noticed that all my plots now have black background even though it should be white to match the screen. This did not happen with my previous Patran 2014. Please tell me that you did not break the image export functionality with the new patran. Right now the only work around I have found is to use jpeg pr bmp format instead of png
I found the answer for this problem. There is nothing wrong with Patran 2017. I recently had to upgrade my laptop and reinstall all the software. The reason why png files were showing up with black background was because I was using the Irfanview viewer and I needed to change the default back ground color from black to white in the program settings. So the problem had to do with my image viewing program and not Patran.
