Is there a way to plot temperature differences between two different nrfs? Same mesh, same time point, just want to post the difference in metal temperatures after making a boundary change,

  • One way you can do this is by using Create > Results > Combine.

Select the two Result Cases from the two NRFs, then in the table, enter a Factor of -1.0 for one of them, leaving the other as 1.0.

Then click on the Temperature in "Select Results", click OK, and finally Apply on the main form.

You will get a new subcase which will be the difference of the two.

You can verify this by going to Create > Cursor > Scalar, then selecting the new subcase, selecting the Temperature for the Cursor Result, then picking a node. The node you pick should have the value that is the first temperature minus the second temperature..

You can also do a Create > Fringe on the new subcase and it will also show you the new values, which is a difference of the two.
