Patran Community Forum Is there a way to show attached (adjacent) element in Patran. For instance if I am showing MPC in model and I would like to see which nodes/element I have it connected to, can I show the attached nodes/ element elements of that MPCS

I have used the feature of "Mask adjacent element OR Show attached elements" in other software such as Hyper mesh.

Basically I would like to do the following

1) Hide the attached elements/nodes for which my MPCs are connected.

or

2) Select the elements only by face.

Hi Shaheer,

You can do this by Group Extend Functionality under Utilities menu and doing Boolean operation on Group. Place the MPC in a group then use the GROUP extend on that group.

Optional you can use Tools/List/FEM-Node-Association/MPC - "Select your MPC" and

Tools/List/FEM-Element-Association/Node - "insert `lista` "

to get a list of attached nodes and elements. With the "Highlight" Button you can show them.
