I'm using MSC Sinda to solve my thermal simulations. I use Patran to pre process. In Patran, the model is composed by nodes and 2D elements (FEA modelisation). I have some conductive links, and some radiative ones. When I launch the thermal solution, MSC Sinda converts the data in a nodal network composed by the conductive network. Concerning the enclosures, Sinda launches the radiative solver SindaRad. In the interactive mode, it is then possible to plot the view factors in the the SindaRad GUI, and to export radiation paramaters (view factors, RadKs, Black body network...) in text files.
The thing is that in these text files, the model is decomposed as numbered faces. These faces are not corresponding to the FEA elements numbers in Patran nor the nodes.
When the solving goes to final stage, a MSC sinda file (.sin) is generated with the whole thermal network (conductive and radiative) transposed on the Patran FEA nodes, and the results are ploted successfully on the FEA model.
However it would be useful to use the SindaRad data to do some handcalcs checks.
Does any one know how to make the analogy between the faces listed in the SindaRad exports and the FEA nodes and elements of Patran?
