How can I import a Parasolid-file (.xmt_txt) into Patran with an academic licence?

I get the Error Message:

"Error reported from application Geometry

This feature requires an extended license. Please contact your MSC.Software representative for details".

Unfortunately,it will be hard if you do not have the license that allows for Parasolid import. I would suggest contacting the person at your institution that can request for this additional license.

If not, one possible workaround is to use IGES.
