Contact 2D-1D

Hi there!

I have a problem to simulate a very easier contact about 2D bodies, or better with a square against a line.

I would like to see the deformation of square (deformable) caused by a displacement imposed from the line (rigid). But maybe I having a problem with properties and the configuration of contact.

Could you help me please?

Hi ,

You are clearly getting following message indicating the contact body referenced in the input is not defined. This can be confirmed from the input file from the following entries.

BCTABL1 0    8006

BCONECT 8006          1    2

BCTABL1 1    8006

If you properly define your contact bodies run should get past this error.

   BCBODY1 Bulk Data entry ID = 1 not found.
