Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I had some issues getting the old hardware back up and running...
This is a very old db - from version 5.1, circa 1996! I've managed to update the db to v8 so it no longer uses Interbase. That should mean that it will upgrade to any later version without too many problems. What version do you need it in ? Upstream you mentioned 2004 on HPUX, but I'm guessing you probably want it on a more recent version, and on Windows? Let me know.
Wow, that's great Darrel. We are currently using Patran 2018 although some of our FEM analysts are still using 2014.
That said, version 2014 is good. Shouldn't be a problem to pdbschema convert to 2018 if need be?
There could other DBs like this one and now that we know you have the mechanism to help us, can we trouble you to convert more? I'll check with the engineering group I'm working with to see if there are other files.
One other note I didn't mention is that we are sunsetting HP-Unix platforms and moving to Linux but the old Patran DBs are going to Windows File Share, so Patran 2014 or 2018 is what we're using
