Stresses in Shell elements

Hello,

I preform one static analysis, a gravity check analysis. In this analysis I have solid elements and shell elements.

In f06 file I can see shell elements stress but when I plot the results in Patran I only can see the stress and displacement for solid elements.

Patran will only show Shell or Solid results one at a time. Take a look at the button called "Position..."

This button will allow you to show "At Z1" "At Z2" for shells (for top and bottom fiber), and "Non-Layered" for solid elements, depending on what you want to look at.

You should be able to select layered results as well.

Click on the circled location and select the LayerZ1/Z2.
