How to limit optimization to a local area? (SOL 200, Topology Optimization)

How do I setup an optimization of a solid element part BUT limit the optimization region to some subset of elements? I tried targeting a group containing the subset of elements but it fails to still recognize the whole part including LBCs.

Create 2 Properties for the 2 regions.... one can be named design region other non-design region...

Then you will call the design region only for Topology, so the non-design region is not optimized.

You can see in image above in the design domain you only select the region you want to optimize.
