How can I change the coordinate system in which a parasolid geometry is imported? I need the part positioned relative to Coord 3 instead of Coord 0 since the model was exported from a CAD file that uses Coord 3.
The easiest way to do it after the geometry has been imported is to use Group > Transform > MCoord. This tool allows you to Move (or Copy) from one Coordinate Frame to another. Use the "From" and "To" fields to specify you Coords.
If you had finite elements on the geometry already, then you may want to make sure "Transform Loads/BCs" and "Transform Properties" is checked on.
Also, if you have finite elements, you'll want to check what the Analysis and Reference Coordinate Frames are for the nodes before and after the Transform to make sure they are what you expect. Do this Finite Elements > Show > Node > Location. You can modify it with Modify > Node > Edit.
