User friendly: Well ???? It all depends on the user. if you buy one, set it up and use it before training. Believe me, you will need to have some hands on use. Lots of screens. Measure feature routines, construct features, etc. It is crazy fast measuring a part. placement on machine is not critical, once you 'snap' a picture of the part and register it, part location doesn't matter. measure lots of dimensions in less than a minute.

Screen gets very crowded with dimensions and labels.
I don't know all prices offhand, but I think you can get a Optiv Classic for about that price, runs PC-DMIS, and can measure a whole lot more (you can add touch probe to it to). Not as good as a CMM in 3D (no rotating wrist) but kicks it in the 2.5D measurements (it can measure Z values at ok accuracy, XY at typical very good vision accuracy on well defined edges).
