I would also like to clarify something that seems to come up from time to time, that is the closing of the “old” PC-DMIS forum, which used to reside at PC-DMIS.com. In order to preserve the integrity of the PC-DMIS trademark, we are obligated to control its use, including ownership of domain names. It is well within the rights of any trademark holder to claim back domain names that infringe on their trademarks without any compensation to the holder. In this case, the holder did agree to a settlement offer we negotiated in good faith (the terms of which we cannot disclose), even though we were not obligated to do so. The content of the old forum was not part of the agreement, and the owner chose not to migrate the content of the old forum elsewhere, which he was within his rights to do, and we would not have objected.
