I've started playing around with this a few days ago and can't seem to get anything to work....Are CAD models necessary to do inspections with this set-up? I haven't had any training and probably won't for the time being...If anyone has any quick 'n' easy tips for alignments, I think i can get the rest on my own.
Hello JM222. This is a situation where you need to take the class. The alignment is a different process and you will continue to have problems if you don't get the proper instruction. It has been almost 5 years since I used Cam2 and a Faro, I can't be much help at this time. I will try to dig up my notes and msg you tomorrow. But I know that you need a 3pt plane to level to, a line for rotation and a ctr point for origin, like in PC DMIS or any other software. Cad models don't work well with Cam2, so I wouldn't really mess with that at this time. Until you learn the sofware a little better. If you can email me some screen shots of the tool bars and the drop downs, I may remember the alignment process.
