Dear PC-DMIS Forum Users.
I've been out of the loop for about a week because I've been on-site working the Hexagon 2011 conference in Orlando. And even though I was on the organizing committee and had some idea of what to expect, there are some things that you just can't truly appreciate unless you're there in the moment: The keynote address with 2,500 people in one room...How you feed all those people in an hour...450,000 square feet of conference space taken up by a single Hexagon event. 50+ employees across all divisions just to keep everything running smoothly. All in all, it was a tremendous experience for we as Hexagon Metrology to engage with our customers, and for our customers to learn what's new in our division and experience the larger world of what the Hexagon group is.
We realize that we didn't have all that much time this year to organize and promote this event-- and more crucially, to give you, our users, enough time to get it into your budgets. With that in mind, save these dates: June 4-7, 2012, which is when Hexagon 2012 will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada. So if you're asking the boss to put in budget to send you next year, the normal conference fee is typically around $1,000 (plus travel and hotel).
We certainly learned a lot in this first year, and have loads of ideas how we can make the experience even more powerful next year, so you won't want to miss anything!
