Exporting CMM Programs

Hello Comrades,
Need your help as usual. I have a situation to handle, but I’m not sure how ..
I have a co-worker who is NOT a programmer; I guess he used to be on operator. The problem is that he likes to play with the CMM programs because he has no clue of what’s going on. How would you handle this?? Thru e-mail or verbally to the boss

On a more serious note: I was also "thrown to the wolves" 12 years ago on a manual CMM, completely unfamiliar with the software.A year ago, "thrown to the wolves" again, new CMM and PCDMIS 2009MR1. Thinking that maybe a friendly approach with some offer for tutoring might cause him to purge his ego and maybe extend some gratitude.
