Anybody use the equator gauging system? Whats everyones thoughts on this type of equipment, how well does it work and what types of parts is this best used on? Doesnt sound like it will give you measurments from cad models and only compares to a master part.
I am not using it but I am going to. It seems to be perfect for shop floor applications, which is where I spend most of my time.
You program it like any other machine. It just has functionality build in to compare actuals to a gold master. The software is very similar to LK Cameo and it is true I++ compatibile. So you ought to be able to run it using PC-DMIS... Although that may be a stretch at this point in time.
