Anybody use the equator gauging system? Whats everyones thoughts on this type of equipment, how well does it work and what types of parts is this best used on? Doesnt sound like it will give you measurments from cad models and only compares to a master part.
Other interesting tidbits in the asterisked comparison uncertainty- Gage system must be re-mastered regularly, and this stated accuracy only applies if subsequent parts are fixtured within 1mm of the master part.
I would be interested in price, as well. It seems like a decent middle ground between the world of height gages and calipers and a full-blown six figure CMM.
