Brown & Sharpe Validator

I spent many years reading the forum but never posted. Now. At our shop is a Brown & Sharpe Validator (around mid to late 80’s). It currently runs with PCDMIS. The limit switch which stops the bridge in the X axis is no longer working. It’s an electronic board which a ribbon plugs into. The pool of people who even know what a CMM is can be quite limited. I am looking for input where to find such a thing. Any ideas about this would be welcomed.

What did Brown & Sharpe A.K.A. Hexagon Metrology say when you called and asked for a quote on a replacement?

I was told the Validator was no longer supported. It was suggested I ask around and possibly find a shop which might.

So they won't sell you replacement parts nor even direct you to someone who will? Way to support your product and your customers Hexagon!
