I've taken a job that has VDMIS. Has anyone used this software before? I've been a PcDmis programmer
for years and you would think there are similarities on how it is used. Keith Mills was onto something
when he dumped VDMIS.
From an old HEX Rep. K. Mills scapped his attemped with V-DMIS because it wouldn't sell and changed the label on it to OpenDMIS and has been selling it ever since. I have a demo offline seat and one of Xpects app. eng. gave me a 2 hour walk thru of OpenDMIS. Five miutes after he left I was completely lost.
That is how we felt. We've had two compentent people go through the software and are still completely lost. I've tried dimensioning several features only to find out Vdmis doesn't report or the software doesn't work. Trying to translate
an alignment is an entirely new adventure, not to mention it doesn't work either. PcDmis does certainly cost more, but
it runs circles around VDmis.
